BATESVILLE, Ark. — The Batesville Area Arts Council is inviting local creatives to unwind, connect and get inspired with the launch of a new monthly event, BAAC CrAfter Hours: Bring Your Own Craft Night, set for Thursday, Feb. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at BAAC’s Work/Shop on Main.
Designed as a relaxed, social evening for makers of all kinds, CrAfter Hours encourages participants to bring along whatever project they’re currently working on—whether it’s knitting, painting, drawing, collage or something entirely different—and enjoy creating alongside fellow artists and hobbyists.
BAAC will provide drinks and light refreshments, creating a laid-back atmosphere where attendees can sip, snack and share ideas while working on their crafts. Organizers say the goal is simple: make space for creativity and connection in a welcoming, low-pressure setting.
Don’t have a project in progress? No problem. For a small additional fee, BAAC will offer a rotating selection of craft projects each month, with options such as collage, watercolor, pastels and more available for participants who want to try something new.
The program is a brand-new addition to BAAC’s lineup and is intended to be a recurring monthly gathering centered on creativity, community and carving out time to make. Participants are welcome to attend solo or bring a friend.
The cost to attend is $5, or $25 for those who would like BAAC to provide supplies for a craft project. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
