For the second time this month, AECI Utility Solutions has dispatched crews to the Gulf Coast in preparation for power outages caused by an incoming hurricane. A division of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc., based in Little Rock, AECI sent 54 lineworkers and necessary equipment to support Clay Electric Cooperative in Keystone, Florida, as Hurricane Helene approaches the state’s panhandle.
The crews will remain staged inland, ready to begin restoration efforts once the storm makes landfall and damage assessments are completed.
Cooperative officials have confirmed that additional crews are on standby, prepared to assist other electric utilities affected by the hurricane’s path.
