The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Flash Flood Warning for several counties in northeastern and north-central Arkansas, including Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Independence, Izard, and Sharp Counties.
Current Conditions
At 1:46 PM CST, Doppler radar detected heavy rainfall across the affected areas. Between 2 to 4 inches of rain have already fallen, with an additional 1 to 2 inches expected. Flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin soon.

- Batesville
- Newport
- Pocahontas
- Walnut Ridge
- Cherokee Village
- Hoxie
- Ash Flat
- Hardy
- Cave City
- Lake Charles State Park
Hazards & Risks
- Flooding of small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses
- Dangerous water levels in low-lying and poor drainage areas
- Roads may become impassable
