Batesville, AR — Bobby Joe Fisher III, 49, of Batesville, AR was arrested following serious allegations of rape and incest. According to an affidavit for his arrest, Fisher is facing felony charges, and Probation/Parole Violations.
The incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday, July 21. At approximately 2:30 a.m., the Independence County Sheriff’s Department responded to a distress call from a home on Cedar Drive. The call reported an unresponsive woman who had been sexually assaulted by Fisher.
The affidavit details that Fisher and the victim had been drinking alcohol throughout the day while engaging in yard work with other family members. The mother of the victim recounted to deputies that her two younger daughters had gone to bed, and she intended to watch a movie with the victim. When the mother went to look for the victim, she discovered her in a shop building with Fisher. The victim was found unresponsive, nonverbal, and unable to stand. The mother intervened, removed Fisher from the victim, and had to physically dress her before bringing her inside the house. The victim was subsequently taken to White River Medical Center for treatment.
In response to these grave allegations, Fisher’s bond has been set at $1,000,000.
