The charges against Ly and Dixon are linked to a series of vehicle break-ins that took place between late April and early May. The stolen items included cash, debit cards, electronics, five handguns, and one AR-15 rifle.
As part of the investigation, Batesville Police executed search warrants at 360 S. 19th Street and on the cell phones of suspects Faith Bales, 18, and Zion Dhoruba King, 18. According to the affidavits, Bales, King, Ly, and Dixon are accused of targeting unlocked vehicles in Batesville and Southside over several nights.
During a post-Miranda interview, Bales admitted to allowing King and others to use her car during the thefts. She stated that while she did not accompany them on April 27 and 28, she drove King around on the weekend of May 3 and 4, waiting for him while he committed the thefts.
On June 12, King was arrested in Little Rock, where authorities discovered a stolen pistol concealed on his person. Bales was present at the time of his arrest.
