Parents of Missing Chickasha Boy Arrested on Child Abuse and Sexual Abuse Charges; Police Chief Says Child ‘Will Not Be Returning’ to Their Custody

Chickasha, OK – Authorities intensified the search for 12-year-old Ryan “RJ” Davis Jr., who remains missing more than a week after he was last seen, as his mother and stepfather face multiple charges of child abuse and child sexual abuse.

Ryan Davis Jr., also known as Ryker Cole, was last seen around 11 p.m. on January 2 near Fourth Street and East Grand Avenue by the Quality Inn in Chickasha. He is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 85-100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time, he was wearing a red and black plaid shirt, dark jeans, and brown steel-toe boots.

An Endangered Missing Advisory was issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on January 6, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) joined the case the following day, labeling the disappearance “suspicious.”

On January 7, Ryan’s mother, Kimberly Cole, and stepfather, George Cole, were arrested and booked into the Caddo County Jail on complaints of child abuse and child sexual abuse. OSBI officials said evidence from interviews and search warrants revealed “apparent harm” to the child while in their care.

“This is extremely sad. This is a horrific case so far for everybody involved,” said OSBI Public Information Officer Hunter McKee during a Thursday press conference. He described Ryan as living in a household where “he didn’t get to live a life of a normal 12-year-old boy” and that it was “not a safe environment.”

McKee emphasized that investigators believe Ryan is still alive and are following numerous leads, with searches focused on rural areas in Caddo and Grady counties.

Chickasha Police Chief Goebel Music delivered a direct message to the missing boy: “All we want to do is lay eyes on this child, get him the medical care that he needs, and assure him physically and emotionally that he will not be returning back to that environment.”

Authorities have not confirmed whether the abuse allegations are directly linked to Ryan’s disappearance, but stressed that finding him safely remains the top priority.

Prior to their arrests, the parents had publicly pleaded for Ryan’s return, with Kimberly Cole telling media, “We just want our son back home. We want him back.”

Anyone with information on Ryan’s whereabouts is urged to call 911, the OSBI tip line at 1-800-522-8017 or tips@osbi.ok.gov, or the Chickasha Police Department at 405-222-6050.

(Ongoing investigation; details based on statements from OSBI, Chickasha Police, and multiple Oklahoma media reports as of January 8, 2026.)
