IMBODEN, AR – Citizens Bank and Sloan-Hendrix School District have recognized Officer James Harrison, the district’s student resource officer, as the January recipient of the “Citizens Bank Excellence in Citizenship” award.
Harrison was honored for his dedication to fostering a safe and positive school environment, with Sloan-Hendrix Superintendent Clifford Rorex praising his role as a mentor to students.
“Officer Harrison is a positive role model to students while helping to establish a safe, positive, and respectful environment for students and staff,” said Rorex. “He serves as a mentor and goes out of his way to encourage students on a daily basis.”
The Excellence in Citizenship program, a partnership between Citizens Bank and Sloan-Hendrix School District, aims to recognize students and staff who uphold the district’s mission to preserve yesterday, excel today, and prepare for tomorrow. Award recipients, nominated by staff, receive a Certificate of Excellence, an Excellence in Citizenship mug, a Greyhound Paw Print ink pen and keychain, and a $25 Walmart gift card from Citizens Bank.
Harrison was presented with his award by Superintendent Clifford Rorex and Citizens Bank’s Kimberly Moore in recognition of his service and commitment to the students of Sloan-Hendrix.
