- As of 9:00 AM CST Sunday, the river stage was recorded at 18.6 feet.
- Minor flooding is already occurring, with the river expected to crest at 20.5 feet by tomorrow morning.
Flood Stage and Impacts:
- Flood stage for the Black River is 14.0 feet.
- At 20.0 feet, agricultural land along both banks in Lawrence, Independence, and Jackson counties will experience flooding.
- Minor flooding may affect the Powhatan Community and Courthouse State Park.

- Turn Around, Don’t Drown: Avoid driving through flooded roads. Most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles.
- Exercise extreme caution, especially at night, when flood dangers are harder to spot.
