As Arkansas braces for freezing temperatures and hazardous weather, Batesville’s First United Methodist Church has opened its doors to those in need. The church has established a warming center at the corner of 7th and Water Streets to provide relief during this cold snap.
The center will operate nightly from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. through Thursday, January 9. Visitors can access essential services, including dinner, breakfast, laundry facilities, and showers.
With temperatures expected to drop significantly, organizers encourage anyone affected by the cold to seek shelter at the warming center to stay safe and warm during this period of extreme weather.
