FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Razorback fans can now own a piece of history from the Hogs’ victory over Tennessee, as the official name, image, and likeness (NIL) group for the Arkansas Razorbacks is selling parts of the goalpost that was torn down following the dramatic win last Saturday.
After fans stormed the field to celebrate Arkansas’ victory, the Southeastern Conference fined the Razorbacks $250,000 for the incident. In response, Arkansas Edge, the NIL collective for Razorback student-athletes, is offering sections of the goalpost for $500 each, with the proceeds going toward NIL initiatives.
More exclusive autographed sections, signed by head coach Sam Pittman, offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, and defensive coordinator Travis Williams, have already sold out, showing strong support from fans eager to get their hands on memorabilia from the memorable game.
Kyle May, executive director for Arkansas Edge, explained the goal of the initiative: “We help facilitate and fundraise for Razorback student-athletes, driving revenue and opportunities for name, image, and likeness efforts.”
The funds raised will directly support NIL opportunities for athletes at the University of Arkansas, ensuring they can benefit from the new landscape in college sports where athletes can profit from their name, image, and likeness.
