McCRORY — A 21-year-old McCrory man was killed and three others were injured Saturday afternoon when a pickup truck rolled multiple times on a rural White County road, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash occurred around 3:47 p.m. July 4 on Fox Meadow Road.
According to the preliminary fatal crash report, a 2013 GMC Sierra was traveling northbound when it left the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected while trying to return to the road, then over-corrected again, causing the truck to roll several times before coming to rest in a ditch.
Chad Veazey, 21, of McCrory, a passenger in the vehicle, died from injuries sustained in the crash. His body was transported to the White County Coroner’s Office.
Three other occupants were injured and taken to Unity Health for treatment. They were identified as Richard Pace, 18, of Bald Knob; Addyson Jordan, 20, of Bradford; and a minor.
Troopers reported rainy weather and wet road conditions at the time of the crash.
