BEEBE, Ark. — A homicide investigation remains underway in Beebe after authorities responded to a fatal shooting Friday afternoon, with a suspect now in custody and no ongoing threat to the public, officials said.
The Beebe Police Department was dispatched around 4 p.m. Feb. 13 following a call to White County 911 from a resident who discovered a neighbor deceased inside a residence. Officers arrived, confirmed the death was a homicide and requested assistance from the White County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the White County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
Late Friday, the department reported that a suspect had been taken into custody and transported to the White County Detention Center.
White County jail records list the suspect as Britini Michele Reveley, 38, of Beebe, arrested Feb. 13 on charges of capital murder, residential burglary and tampering with physical evidence.
Mayor Mike Robertson issued a statement thanking White County law enforcement agencies for their swift and professional response. He also extended condolences from the City of Beebe to the families affected by the incident.
The victim’s identity and additional details about the circumstances have not been released. The investigation continues. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
