SPRINGDALE, Ark. — A large-scale, multi-agency law enforcement operation led by the United States Marshals Service in northwest Arkansas has concluded with 340 arrests, the clearance of 110 arrest warrants, significant drug and firearm seizures, and the safe recovery of a missing child, officials announced Feb. 13, 2026.

The effort, known as “Operation Springdale Safe,” ran over three days this week with a heavy police presence focused on individuals wanted for gang-related activity, drug trafficking, violent offenses, and other crimes in and around Springdale. Authorities emphasized targeting the demand and supply sides of human trafficking, organized crime, and related violations.

Key results include:

  • 340 total arrests on charges ranging from possession of child sexual abuse material and felon in possession of a firearm to possession with intent to deliver dangerous drugs.
  • Seizures of firearms, 95 grams of fentanyl (enough to potentially kill around 47,500 people), 4.13 pounds of methamphetamine, and 55 grams of cocaine.
  • Recovery of one missing child during the operation, who was located unharmed and reunited with family.
  • Clearance of 110 outstanding arrest warrants.

The U.S. Marshals Service Western Arkansas Fugitive Task Force coordinated the operation, with assistance from the Springdale Police Department (which made 124 of the arrests), Arkansas State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Arkansas Probation and Parole, and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

“This operation was only made possible by federal, state, and local agencies working together for one common goal: Keeping the communities we live in safe,” the U.S. Marshals Service stated. Springdale Police Chief Derek Wright noted months of preparation went into the effort, and information gathered during the operation is aiding further investigations.

The arrests highlight ongoing concerns over fentanyl distribution, gang violence, and human trafficking in northwest Arkansas amid regional population growth. Officials indicated similar targeted operations will continue to disrupt criminal networks.

No full list of arrested individuals or specific charges for each has been publicly released, as cases proceed through the courts. Additional details or charges may emerge as prosecutions advance.

The Batesville Tribune will follow developments in this major enforcement action and its implications for public safety across the state. Residents with relevant information are urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service, Springdale Police, or local authorities.
