Two Men Arrested in Scotland, AR, During Drug and Firearms Search Warrant Execution

Scotland, AR – The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested two men Thursday after serving a search warrant at a residence in this small community in northern Van Buren County.

The operation took place on January 8, 2026, at 323 Buena Vista Drive. Deputies executed the warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into drug-related activity and fugitive matters.

Gerald Coogan was taken into custody at the scene and faces the following felony charges:

  • Probation violation
  • Possession of firearms by certain persons
  • Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

A second suspect, Chadwick Williams, was also arrested at the residence. He faces charges of:

  • Parole violation
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
