BATESVILLE, Ark. – Carmen Duncan, who has served as Deputy Circuit Clerk for Independence County for the past seven years, announced her candidacy for the Circuit Clerk position on Thursday.
In her announcement, Duncan emphasized her commitment to integrity, accountability, and transparency in continuing to serve the community. She highlighted the office’s critical role in maintaining accurate court records and pledged to enhance efficiency, public communication, and overall accessibility.
Duncan outlined key priorities for her potential tenure, including streamlining processes to improve public service, ensuring precise management of records and funds, making information and services more reachable, and prioritizing fairness and respect for all citizens.
With more than 17 years of experience as a legal assistant, including her current role in the 16th Judicial District, Duncan expressed gratitude for the support she’s received and looks forward to engaging with voters across the county.
