HAMPTON, Arkansas — An investigation is underway at a factory in Hampton, Arkansas, following an incident that left multiple people injured on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, an explosion involving pyrotechnics occurred at the General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems facility just after 8:15 a.m. The incident resulted in at least two injuries and one missing person.
One of the injured individuals has been treated in the emergency room and is in stable condition. Another victim was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital.
This facility serves as the company’s explosive load, assembly, and pack center for various U.S. military programs. It is also noted for its “advanced quality control analytical laboratories” used for mechanical and chemical inspections.
