LONOKE, Arkansas — A traffic stop by Arkansas State Police on Sunday afternoon led to the arrest of a man found with several pounds of illegal drugs.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Interstate 40 eastbound in Lonoke County, where police pulled over a sprinter van.
During the stop, officers discovered two wooden crates containing 120 vacuum-sealed one-pound bags of illegal marijuana. Additionally, they found ammunition, multiple magazines, and a handgun inside the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 55-year-old Brian High from Townsend, Delaware, was arrested and taken to the Lonoke County Detention Center.
High faces felony charges including possession of drugs and firearms, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
