MARION — On Monday, Sept. 23, Megan Goudy, 33, of West Memphis, pled guilty to Felony Theft of Property following a July 2023 investigation by Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Goudy, a former clerk for the Marion District Court, was arrested on July 24, 2023, by ASP Special Agents on charges of eight counts of Forgery and one count of Theft of Property. Investigators uncovered that Goudy had embezzled more than $300,000 in court fines between 2019 and 2022.
She was sentenced to 120 days in the Crittenden County Detention Center, followed by 20 years of probation. Goudy has also been ordered to pay $384,000 in restitution to the City of Marion.
