East Lansing, MI – In a hard-fought battle between two ranked teams and iconic coaches, No. 22 Michigan State Spartans held off No. 14 Arkansas Razorbacks 69-66 on November 8, 2025, at the Breslin Center. The game pitted MSU’s Tom Izzo against Arkansas’s John Calipari, delivering an electric atmosphere and a statement win for the Spartans, who improved to 2-0 while dropping the Razorbacks to 1-1.

The matchup was physical from tip-off, with Michigan State building an early lead before Arkansas mounted several comebacks. Izzo praised his team’s resilience post-game, saying, “We knew it would be tough against a talented Arkansas squad. Our guys stepped up defensively when it mattered.” Calipari noted the game’s intensity, stating, “We fought hard, but small mistakes cost us. We’ll learn from this.”
