GRAVETTE, Ark. — A Gravette man is facing more than two dozen felony charges after investigators say they uncovered multiple files of child sexual abuse material in his possession.
Michael Lynn Kelley, 53, was taken into custody and charged with 33 counts of distributing or possessing sexually explicit material involving a child, according to court records.
The investigation began on Nov. 17, when a confidential source reported to police that Kelley had allegedly played two videos containing child sexual abuse material on his television while the two were using methamphetamine. That information led detectives to obtain and review digital files tied to Kelley as part of a broader evidence search.
According to an affidavit, Kelley told investigators he had received pornography files from another individual in Missouri and claimed that the collection contained child sexual abuse material. He allegedly stated that he did not seek out the material himself but admitted to showing it to others.
Detectives reported that the files were analyzed through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which confirmed that 33 images and videos found in Kelley’s possession matched known cases involving identified child victims.
Kelley was booked into the Benton County Detention Center with bond set at $200,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2026.
The case remains under investigation, and additional charges could be filed as evidence is reviewed.
