CLEBURNE COUNTY, Ark. – Four individuals have been arrested in connection with three separate child pornography investigations launched by the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office since September.
The investigations were initiated following tips received by the Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, prompting search warrants and arrests at three different residences.
The first arrest occurred on September 17, when deputies searched a home in Greers Ferry. The investigation focused on allegations of child sexual solicitation. Authorities arrested 38-year-old Michael Hutchins, charging him with possessing material depicting sexual conduct involving children. Hutchins remains in the Cleburne County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
On October 21, a second investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Daniel Liles in Heber Springs. A tip revealed that child pornography was being shared via a messaging app, which was traced to Liles’ IP address. Evidence found during a search resulted in his arrest. He is currently held on a $100,000 bond.
During the search of Liles’ residence, deputies also discovered a large quantity of narcotics and a firearm with the serial number removed. This discovery led to the arrest of 19-year-old Davon Williams, who faces charges of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, drug possession, and possession of a defaced firearm. Williams was booked on a $30,000 bond and has since bonded out.
The third arrest occurred on November 25, when investigators received a tip alleging that 31-year-old Broch Romkee of Locust Grove had child pornography stored on his phone. A search warrant led to Romkee’s arrest on 14 counts of possession of child pornography. He is currently being held in the Cleburne County Detention Center on a $350,000 bond.
Authorities continue to stress the importance of vigilance and reporting suspected cases of child exploitation to protect vulnerable children in the community.
