Incident Details
According to the affidavit prepared by Patrolman Richard Crowe, officers were dispatched to the residence around 8:20 a.m. on October 7, 2025, after reports of a woman screaming for help.
When officers arrived, they found the victim outside the home, described as crying hysterically and appearing disheveled. After regaining composure, the victim told officers she had been involved in a domestic altercation with her husband that began the previous evening.
The affidavit states that the suspect forced the victim out of the home on October 6. The victim then stated that on the morning of October the 7th another confrontation reportedly ensued. The victim told police that during the altercation, the suspect threw her phone out the door, preventing her from calling for help, according to the report he then went to retrieve the phone and she ran inside and locked the door behind him. Daniel then kicked the door in, breaking the door jamb and strike plate, also leaving a visible muddy foot print. She then ran out the back door, which Daniel also broke down. The victim also stated that he then punched her repeatedly in the head and neck on the back deck of the home. The victim states she was able to retrieve her phone and attempted to call 911, but Daniel threatened to kill her if she did, She then went to her vehicle and Daniel stuck a 9mm pistol to her head and threatened to kill her. She said Daniel then left the residence, taking her phone and handgun.
She further alleged that the suspect physically restrained her, made threats, and continued to act aggressively even as she attempted to flee the residence. Officers documented visible signs of distress and collected statements and physical observations consistent with her account.
Following the investigation, Alwin was arrested without incident and transported to the Sharp County Detention Center, where he was booked on the listed charges.
Ongoing Case
Court filings indicate that the case is being prosecuted under Arkansas Code §§ 5-26-306, 5-13-301, 5-26-305, and 5-60-124. Alwin remains presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office and Cherokee Village Police Department are continuing their investigation.
