WILBURN — A 36-year-old Floral woman died and two of her children were injured Friday night when the utility terrain vehicle she was driving overturned in Cleburne County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash occurred around 8:24 p.m. July 3 at the intersection of Tyler Road and County Road 81 near Wilburn. Betsy Ann Ramsey, 36, of Floral, was operating a 2025 Can-Am UTV when it left the roadway and overturned, the preliminary fatal crash report states.
Ramsey died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Her body was transported to the Cleburne County Coroner’s Office. The two minor passengers, identified in her obituary as her children, were injured and taken to Unity Health in Searcy for treatment. Troopers said weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the incident.
Ramsey, the former Betsy Ann Dalton, was born Oct. 6, 1989, in Urbana, Illinois, to Eddie and Starr Dalton. She graduated from Urbana High School in 2008 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 2012. She worked as an office administrator for Auvergne Grain and was a member of First Baptist Church at Concord.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Bruce Ramsey; sons Wyatt and Waylon Ramsey; daughters Miranda and Rheadyn Ramsey; her parents, Eddie and Starr Dalton; father-in-law Lanny Ramsey; mother-in-law Christina Ramsey; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at First Baptist Church at Concord with Bro. Daryl Sellers and Bro. John High officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Floral under the direction of Qualls Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the service time.
