Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in the Hutchinson Mountain area at approximately 3:23 a.m. today, according to officials.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported the residence was partially collapsed and fully involved, with flames spreading into nearby wooded areas. Officials said the fire had likely been burning for an extended period before it was discovered, as the incident occurred during the early morning hours when visibility and traffic were minimal.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, but the home was declared a total loss. An estimated 10 acres of surrounding woods were also burned.
No injuries were reported.
This marks the third structure fire responded to by crews in the district so far this month. The cause of the fire has not been released.
