.817 Billion Powerball Jackpot Still Unclaimed in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A record-breaking Powerball jackpot worth $1.817 billion remains unclaimed weeks after the winning ticket was sold in Arkansas during the Christmas Eve drawing, lottery officials confirmed.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Murphy USA gas station in Cabot. The numbers drawn were 04, 25, 31, 52 and 59, with the Powerball number 19.

The prize is the largest lottery jackpot ever won in Arkansas and marks only the second time a Powerball jackpot has been claimed in the state. The first occurred more than a decade ago, in 2010.

Under Arkansas lottery rules, the ticket holder has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. Once the winner comes forward, they will have the option of receiving the full $1.817 billion annuity paid out over time or a lump sum cash payout of $834.9 million before taxes.

Lottery officials have not released any information about the identity of the winner and continue to urge players to check their tickets carefully.

If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, the winnings would be forfeited and allocated according to state lottery regulations.
