Lyon College Hosts Annual Furry Frenzy Toy Toss for Angel Tree Program

BATESVILLE, Ark. – Lyon College will hold its beloved annual Furry Frenzy Toy Toss game on Saturday at Becknell Gymnasium, supporting the Rotary Club of Batesville’s Angel Tree program, which provides Christmas gifts for children in need.

Fans attending the Scots basketball game against Austin College are encouraged to bring a new stuffed toy to toss onto the court after the Scots score their first points. Admission to the 1 p.m. game is free for attendees who bring a stuffed toy.

All collected toys will be donated to the Angel Tree program, which assists children from families facing financial hardships during the holiday season. The Toy Toss has become a cherished community tradition, bringing people together to support local families and celebrate the spirit of giving.

“This event is always a great opportunity for our fans to support the community in a meaningful way while enjoying a fun afternoon of basketball,” said Lyon College Athletics Director Kevin Jenkins. “We are grateful for the community’s support in making this season brighter for children in Batesville and beyond.”
