Little Rock, AR — Arkansans may have felt a minor disturbance early Saturday morning as a small earthquake was recorded in the state. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 2.2 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 6 miles west and southwest of Center Ridge at 4:33 a.m.
This tremor follows a series of recent seismic activities in the region. Just a week prior, two small earthquakes were registered by the USGS. On Sunday, a 1.9 magnitude earthquake occurred west of Damascus at 6:09 a.m., followed by a 2.1 magnitude quake just three miles from Greenbrier, both located in Faulkner County.
While these quakes have been relatively mild, they continue to draw attention from local residents and officials.
