An affidavit for Jasmine Brown Walker, 45, of Batesville, was filed on Tuesday, May 21. According to the affidavit, Arkansas State Police stopped a blue Nissan Altima on Highway 167 northbound for speeding. A strong odor of marijuana was detected from the vehicle, and neither Walker nor her passenger had a medical marijuana card.
During the vehicle search, troopers discovered a set of digital scales with residue in the trunk. In the engine compartment behind the battery, they found a package containing more than ten but less than 200 grams of crack cocaine and 34 grams of blue and yellow LSD. Based on the size and shape of the paper, there were at least 150 hits of LSD.
Walker and her passenger were taken to the Independence County Detention Center, where Walker was found to have concealed one gram of marijuana on her person. Bond was set at $25,000.
