DESHA, Ark. – A shooting in Desha left one person injured and another in custody.
According to a news release, Independence County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting in Desha shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Upon arrival, deputies identified a possible shooter.
One victim, who sustained injuries in the incident, was transported to White River Health. The extent of the injuries and the victim’s name have not been disclosed.
Sheriff Shawn Stephens later informed K8 News that 25-year-old Itrevone J. Sain was arrested and is being held at the Independence County Jail, awaiting a probable cause hearing to determine charges.
The shooting remains under investigation.
