BATESVILLE — Customers of the Batesville Water Utility who received an unexpected email this week about their accounts can rest assured their service remains active and unaffected, city officials said.
The city recently switched to a new online payment platform, Invoice Cloud. Prior to the official announcement of the transition, the utility’s former payment vendor sent an unauthorized email to customers, which caused confusion regarding account status.
In a statement, utility officials confirmed that all accounts are in good standing. To support customers during the changeover, no late fees or disconnect fees will be assessed for the next two months.
Those who previously paid water bills online will need to create a new profile in the updated system. Saved links and login information from the old portal will not work.
Customers can set up a new account or make payments by visiting Batesvillearkansas.gov and selecting “Pay Water Bill.” Payments can also be made by phone at 888-332-1563.
