North Central Arkansas Communities Set for Independence Day Celebrations Despite Fireworks Challenges

BATESVILLE, Ark. — North Central Arkansas towns are gearing up for a full slate of parades, live music, food and family activities this Independence Day weekend as the nation marks its 250th anniversary, even as some fireworks displays faced last-minute adjustments.

From lakefront spectacles to hometown parades and community picnics, events are scheduled across the region from July 3-5. Organizers have worked to ensure celebrations proceed, with several communities confirming fireworks or alternative programming.

Bald Knob America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration on July 3 features a community Independence Day event with live music by the Delta Drifters and fireworks at dark.

Batesville Sonic Drive-In and ArkansasRadio.com stations are hosting a Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday event on July 4 at the Sonic Drive-In, with live radio broadcasts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., an E-Bike giveaway, and gift card drawings. The main Celebrate America celebration, rescheduled to Sunday, July 5, at the Batesville Municipal Golf Course runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with live music, food vendors, family activities and fireworks at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Beebe VFW Post 7769 Community Fish Fry on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. includes a free fish fry and Flag Retirement Ceremony.

Calico Rock Rayvon Cantrell Fireworks Extravaganza on July 3 at Earl King Memorial Park features a community celebration with fireworks at dusk.

Cave City Celebrate Freedom on July 3 at Cave City Park begins at 7:30 p.m. with live music by the Four Corners Quartet, concessions and free admission. Fireworks follow at dark, with viewing from the park and community pool.

Cherokee Village Thunder on Thunderbird on July 4 at Lake Thunderbird includes a pancake breakfast, farmers market, food trucks and a Patriotic Boat Parade at 7 p.m. Fireworks launch at 9 p.m.

Conway Lights Over the Lake on July 3 at Beaverfork Lake Park starts at 3:30 p.m. with free admission and fireworks at dark.

Des Arc Stars & Stripes on the White on July 4 at Riverfront Park offers live music, food vendors and family activities. Fireworks over the White River, sponsored by Prairie Ag Flying Service, begin at 9:30 p.m.

Evening Shade Salute to America on July 4 features live music by Groove Vault from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., food concessions and fireworks after the concert.

Fairfield Bay Patriot Fest in the Bay on July 4 at Fairfield Bay Marina includes the Spirit of America Parade, barbecue and live entertainment. ArkansasRadio.com broadcasts live at 3 p.m., followed by the Zac Dunlap Band from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks over Greers Ferry Lake start at 9:30 p.m.

Fifty-Six Fifty-Six Community Independence Day Celebration on July 4 at Community Park off Roasting Ear Road offers food and drinks from 6 p.m. by the Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, with fireworks at dark.

Floyd Floyd Ballpark 4th of July Celebration on July 4 includes a parade, swimming, games and family activities, with fireworks after 9 p.m.

Fox Fox 4th of July Celebration on July 4 at Fox Fun Park starts family activities at 5:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at dark.

Greenbrier Fireworks on the 4th on July 4 at Greenbrier Baseball Complex near Greenbrier High School features a family-friendly celebration with a professional fireworks display at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Greers Ferry Greers Ferry 4th of July Celebration on July 4 at City Park Pavilion includes a Kid Zone, turkey leg fundraiser, live music and family activities, with fireworks at dark.

Hardy America’s 250th Celebration on July 4 in Downtown Hardy offers patriotic activities and a community celebration.

Heber Springs Freedom Fest on the Lake on July 4 at Sandy Beach features food vendors, live entertainment, family activities and fireworks over Greers Ferry Lake at 9:30 p.m.

Jacksonville Liberty Fest on July 1 at Heritage Park runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Big BANG Fireworks Show on July 4 at Jacksonville City Hall starts festivities at 5 p.m. with live music, food vendors, lawn games and performances by the Tony Anderson Band, Aurora the Band and Ain’t Got Nothin’ Band. Judsonia Judsonia Summer Blast on July 4 at Missile Base Road begins at 8:45 a.m. with free family activities and fireworks after dark.

Leslie Leslie Fireworks & Independence Day Celebration on July 3 at Leslie Fun Park includes family activities celebrating America’s 250th Birthday, with fireworks at dark.

Lonoke Pops on the Prairie Independence Day Celebration on July 3 in Downtown Lonoke offers food vendors, live music and family activities. Fireworks presented by J&J Family Fireworks follow at dark.

Marshall Marshall Independence Day Celebration on July 4 at Marshall Elementary School begins with an Independence Day Parade at 11 a.m. Evening fireworks are available at nearby Witts Springs and Big Flat.

McCrory Mosquito Fest & Independence Day Celebration on July 4 in Downtown McCrory features a carnival, vendor fair, fish fry and family activities throughout the weekend, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. A separate McCrory Fire Department Community Fireworks Show is set for July 3 at Woodruff County Nursing Home.

Pangburn Pangburn 4th of July Celebration on July 4 features an Outhouse Race, parade, car show, live music and free BBQ dinner, with professional fireworks at 9:20 p.m.

Searcy United We Stand Festival on July 4 in Downtown Searcy has parking opening at 4 p.m., food trucks, vendors, Kid Zone, performances by the White County Community Band and others, a patriotic program and a drone show followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Sherwood Fireworks & Food Trucks on July 3 at The Greens at North Hills starts at 6 p.m. with food trucks, live music and a free Kids Zone. Fireworks follow at dark, approximately 9:15 p.m.

Sidney Bank of Cave City & City of Sidney Independence Day Celebration on July 4 includes live music by Jeremy Johnson and 7 South, contests, food and family activities, with a grand fireworks show after the concert.

Ward Ward 4th of July Celebration on July 4 at Ward Sports Complex begins at 6 p.m. with live music, free carnival rides, waterslides and food vendors. Fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m.
