CABOT, Arkansas — Lyon College has appointed Maggie Milligan as strategist for the Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine, where she will bring decades of leadership and strategic planning experience to support the school’s continued development and growth.
In her new role, Milligan will apply her extensive expertise to support the Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine’s pursuit of accreditation, strengthen relationships with communities across Arkansas and beyond, and establish strategic objectives to guide the institution as it prepares to welcome its inaugural class of students.
Milligan has led Milligan Management Services for more than 20 years, providing strategic management and administrative support to numerous nonprofit associations. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for organizational excellence and collaborative leadership, with her longest tenure dedicated to serving the Arkansas veterinary community through her work with the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.
She currently serves as executive director of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Foundation, overseeing initiatives that advance veterinary education, research and professional development. Her work has helped strengthen the veterinary profession across the state while fostering opportunities for future practitioners and leaders.
“Maggie brings a wealth of knowledge, strong relationships and a deep understanding of the veterinary profession that will be invaluable as we continue building the Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine,” said Dr. Carolyn Henry, dean of the school. “Her experience and strategic vision will play an important role in helping us achieve our goals and prepare for the future.”
Milligan said she is excited to support the development of a program that will help address workforce needs while creating new opportunities for students and communities.
