Woman Charged After Drug Task Force Raid For Meth and Pills

BATESVILLE, Ark. – A Batesville woman faces multiple felony drug charges following a search warrant executed at her residence on Oct. 28, as part of an investigation by the 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Drug Task Force and Independence County Sheriff’s Office.

Donna Shipman was arrested after law enforcement conducted a controlled purchase and surveillance operation targeting suspected methamphetamine distribution. The raid at Shipman’s home resulted in the seizure of:

  • 26.9 grams Methamphetamine
  • 11 Clonazepam pills, (2 grams total)
  • 14 Diazepam pills (1.8 grams total)

Formal charges have been filed with the 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, including:

  • Three (3) counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine less than two grams – Class C Felonies
  • One (1) count of Maintaining a Drug Premises – Class C Felony
  • One (1) count of Possession of Methamphetamine greater than ten (10) grams but less than 200 grams – Class A Felony
  • Two (2) counts of Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver – Class C Felonies

The operation highlights the ongoing collaboration between local law enforcement and the prosecuting attorney’s office in combating illegal drug distribution across Independence County. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
