Statewide BOLO Issued for Suspect in Fulton County Double Homicide

Agnos, Ark. – Authorities have issued a statewide Be on the Lookout alert for Jacob Lowell J. Smith, a 32-year-old man considered armed and dangerous, in connection with a double homicide in Agnos, Fulton County.

The bodies of two unidentified females were discovered Tuesday, Oct. 21, at one of the victims’ homes, following the killings believed to have occurred between Oct. 20 and 21. The remains have been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy and formal identification.

Smith, described as a white male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with a date of birth of Aug. 14, 1993, is wanted on a statewide extradition warrant for absconding and violating probation and parole conditions. He is also named a person of interest in the Fulton County slayings.

The Arkansas State Police, assisting local investigators, detailed that Smith may be traveling in a stolen 2004 red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck bearing Arkansas license plate BEH-93R, taken from the crime scene. Two firearms were also reported stolen: a Sears pump-action shotgun with a painted black wooden stock and unknown serial number, and a Charter Arms .38 Special revolver with serial number 53810-22L33297. Both weapons have been entered as stolen in the Arkansas Crime Information Center.

Smith’s most recent booking photo, from a Sept. 30 arrest in Van Buren County on possession of a controlled substance charges, shows distinctive tattoos including a bow tie on his neck and facial markings. He was arrested again on Oct. 3 at a Super 8 Hotel in Clinton, with an associated address of 311 Lawrence Road in Smithville, reported by a neighbor as potentially his parents’ residence. Court records indicate Smith is a habitual offender with felony convictions dating back to 2017.

Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell confirmed the BOLO to local media, stressing public and officer safety amid concerns over Smith’s violent tendencies. The alert was upgraded following the issuance of the extradition warrant.

Officials urge anyone spotting Smith or the vehicle not to approach and to immediately contact the Arkansas State Police or local law enforcement with location details. Exercise extreme caution, as he is deemed dangerous.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, with the Arkansas State Police supporting Fulton County authorities. A statement from Fulton County Sheriff Jake Smith is anticipated, and further details on the homicides will be released as they become available.
