Major Flooding Forecasted for White River in Batesville and Surrounding Areas

BATESVILLE, AR – A Flood Warning remains in effect for the White River at Batesville and Calico Rock, with major flooding expected over the weekend.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued the warning from Wednesday, April 2, at 9:55 PM CDT through Thursday, April 3, at 10:00 PM CDT, with the river forecasted to crest at 23.5 feet by Sunday evening.

Flooding Impacts & Areas Affected

🔹 At 23.0 feet, major flooding will affect portions of Batesville and Oil Trough, with State Highways 14 and 69 expected to be underwater.
🔹 The current river stage is 7.8 feet, but it is expected to rise above flood stage (15 feet) by Saturday afternoon and continue rising.
🔹 Flood conditions are expected to persist beyond Sunday evening, with further updates anticipated.
