Two individuals were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle accident north of Batesville on Thursday.
Reports indicate that a furniture delivery truck rear-ended a gas delivery truck on U.S. Highway 167 near J.W. & Sons scrap metal. One person with severe injuries was airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock, while the other was taken to the White River Health emergency room in Batesville.
Another accident occurred early Thursday afternoon on Highway 167, south of Batesville, slowing traffic in both lanes on Ramsey Mountain. Authorities reported that a northbound chicken truck overturned in the outside lane around noon.
