Morgan Nick Foundation Seeks Help in Locating Missing Batesville Man

BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Morgan Nick Foundation and Independence County Sheriff’s Office are working to locate 42-year-old Bryant Calvert, a Batesville resident reported missing on Monday, Nov. 4. Family members reported Calvert missing after discovering his abandoned vehicle at a boat ramp in Guion, Arkansas. His yellow kayak was also missing from the scene.

The Independence County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that Calvert had sent an email to his family on Saturday, expressing his intention to say goodbye. In response, authorities initiated a search of the river between Batesville and Guion but paused due to challenging river conditions last week. Sheriff Shawn Stephens stated on Monday that no further information has surfaced.

Calvert’s case has been registered with the Morgan Nick Foundation, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, the Arkansas Crime Information Center, and the National Crime Information Center. Investigators continue to pursue leads and urge anyone with information to contact the Independence County Sheriff’s Office at 870-793-8838.
