Independence County has implemented the Relativity Public Safety (RPS) system to enhance the booking process and improve record accuracy for inmates and detainees.
Sheriff Shawn Stephens stated that RPS will streamline intake procedures, allowing for quicker processing and reducing errors. The system features a user-friendly interface, real-time data entry, and improved tracking capabilities, ensuring the integrity of inmate records from the moment of arrest.
RPS integrates with local law enforcement databases and court systems, offering better search functionality and enhanced security measures to protect sensitive information. County officials expect the transition to bring greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability to the jail system.
All county staff have completed training, and RPS is now fully operational. The RPS-Inmate Info app is available for download, providing public access to inmate information. For further inquiries, individuals can contact the Independence County Detention Center at (870) 612-6880.
