Five Parkway Elementary Students Charged for Making Threats Against School Staff and Students

LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant Police Department has charged five students from Parkway Elementary with making threats directed at school employees and students.

Authorities stated that their investigation involved interviewing students, reviewing social media posts, and working closely with school officials.

As a result, the Bryant Police were able to identify and charge the students responsible.

The department is reminding the public that threats, even when made as jokes or pranks, can lead to serious legal consequences.

Parents are urged to talk to their children about the severity of making such threats and the potential impact.

The students, ranging from 10-11 years old, have been charged with Communicating a False Alarm, Terroristic Threatening, Harassing Communications, and Threatening to Commit an Act of Mass Violence on School Property.
