INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, Ark. – A Batesville resident lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday.
According to a crash report from the Arkansas State Police, 34-year-old Brian Moser was a passenger in a 2014 Isuzu traveling south on Highway 167, north of Batesville. A 2019 Peterbilt fuel tanker was also heading south on the same highway.
The report states that the fuel tanker had come to a stop at the railroad crossing on Highway 167 at Valley Lane. As it stopped, the driver of the Isuzu crashed into the rear of the Peterbilt, resulting in Moser’s death.
The report noted that the roads were dry and the weather was clear at the time of the crash.
