ASP arrests two people in connection with murder

MARIANNA, Ark. – The Arkansas State Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the death of Ashley Monroe.

According to a news release from the ASP, 24-year-old Dodge Pinegar and 30-year-old Shadee Edgin were taken into custody on Friday, June 7, and charged with first-degree murder.

The investigation began on Tuesday, May 21, when the Lee County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the ASP after a farmer discovered a body in a farm field off Lee County Road 706, north of Marianna.

The deceased was later identified as 30-year-old Ashley Monroe of Lexa.
