Local Dog Trainer Expands Efforts to Find Forever Homes for Foster Puppies

Batesville, AR — October 23, 2025  — Freedom’s Calling Canine Training, in collaboration with the Humane Society of Independence County, is working to find loving homes for a growing number of foster puppies in the area.

Trainer Steven Jarvis, owner of Freedom’s Calling Canine Training, has been fostering and rehabilitating puppies to prepare them for successful adoptions. “Every puppy deserves a chance to grow into a confident, well-mannered dog,” Jarvis said. “We focus on building trust, teaching basic manners, and helping them navigate the world around them before they ever meet their new families.”

The fosters currently in care have already been introduced to crate training, socialization, and basic obedience. Many have learned to interact calmly with other dogs and people — giving them a strong foundation for a smooth transition into their new homes.

“Shelters and fosters can only do so much locally,” Jarvis added. “By sharing these stories, we can help more families connect with the right dog — and open up space for the next animal in need.”

Those interested in adopting, donating, or volunteering can visit Freedom’s Calling Canine Training on Facebook or contact the Humane Society of Independence County for more details.
