LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. — A 14-year-old girl from Ratcliff, Arkansas, who was believed to be with someone she met online, has been found safe, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office activated an AMBER Alert on Friday, October 18, for Trixie Studer, who had last been seen around 7:30 p.m. that evening. Authorities believed she was traveling with 14-year-old Sam Smith, whom she had met online.
The two were reportedly seen in a silver Kia SUV with black wheels and no license plate. Smith had been reported missing from Wadesboro, North Carolina, on Thursday, October 17, just a day before the alert was issued.
Surveillance footage captured Smith making a purchase at the Handy Way in Caulksville, Arkansas, further confirming their presence in Logan County.
By Saturday, October 19, ASP confirmed that Studer was located safe in the company of Smith, and the AMBER Alert was deactivated. Both teenagers were considered endangered at the time of the alert, but no further details were provided on their current situation.
